I have missed a few shifts on a racetrack in my day and unless it was a missed downshift which caused them to completely blow a corner I can't see a missed shift costing more than a few 10'ths under most circumstances. I wasn't there so guess we should take their word but that comment makes me wonder.
On the possible ring time, aren't we talking a power to weight in range of a Porsche Cayman S? If I recall the list right those were 8:02 or so, be nice to see a 1Le under 8 though!!

I think for them to mention it, it must of been a "pretty botched" gear change. I'm sure most magazines would not even mention a slight error.

There's verifiable truth and BS. I'll let you discern which is which.

The 2010 camaro SS ran a 3:09 at VIR, 1LE ran a 3:01. So 8 seconds quicker than the SS. This is on a 3 min track. On the Ring the SS ran 8:20. So to me it is very feasible that the 1LE would easily beat the 8 min time at the ring.

It also ran 4 seconds behind the ZL1 at VIR, so running three times slower due to the ring being almost 3 times as long would be about 12 seconds. That puts you easily under 8 minutes again.

Who is going to run a Fora 4 comparison LOL.... the 1LE is not even downloadable yet but it will be!

I would think it can beat the early '04 c6's at 7:59. And I would hope that it can
beat the '10 Subaru WRX STi at 7:55, the 1le can crush the STI in the figure 8,
lateral G, 0-60 and 1/4 mile (can't find slalom numbers for the 1Le, they are important
and the sti has a decent time 70.xx mph).
