Needs to be wrapped, even if it must be epoxied on the under side to keep it attached.

Yes I noticed this and is a major reason (along with the stripes not being long enough) why I will not be spending money on these.. GM, you need to get the quality control people in and re-do these stripes..

As I wrote in another thread somewhere a few days ago, in my experience the main problem with vinyl stripes on the hood is not the installation but what the combination of engine bay temperatures and the sun can do in a few years. They can fade, change colors, and dry out. Once they dry out and start to crack, they can't be satisfactorily removed with 3M's stripe remover...time to grind them off and repaint the hood. However, everywhere else on the car, vinyl can last longer than your paint job.

Yeah, the vinyl IROC lettering on my 86 was still looking good even after the black paint was horribly faded and peeling in places. I can understand the engine bay heat issues thing though.

Will this be a problem on this new Camaro since it has a hood liner?

Most new cars come with one, and just living with one through the winter; it became very obvious to me that it lets very little heat through to the hood. Substantially less than cars without a liner.

Probably will still be a problem, but less of one than without a liner.

I don't know for sure though.

Good point. My '78 Z28 doesn't have a liner, but half the problem is no doubt that the hood (and trunk lid) will get more direct sunlight than the side areas.
