How long does it take to get these? Waiting for mine. I ordered the 9500ix and direct connect cable, waiting for the bracket now...

I just finished installing the bracket.....

I had to shave a little bit off of the visor piece on the front tab to get it to fit into the bracket. And I found it odd that the visor catch needed a 7/64 hex, which isn't the same size as the screws holding the visor itself.

After trying it on the passenger side first I decided that the driver's side works better for me. The detector points a little bit to the left. It's ok for now, I'll bend it later if it bothers me too much.

The only change I can recommend is removing the corners on the end where the bracket goes into the detector. They're a bit sharp.

The bracket fits snugly into my SOLO S2. So much so that it holds it well even though the catch didn't seem to align with the slot in the bracket.

All in all, well worth the money. I like it way better than the stupid suction cups.

Great job Mike! Thanks for your efforts!

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I noticed that the new detectors with the rubber nubs on them tend to be a bit tighter fitting.

I absolutely hated the suction cups. My STi driver saved me from TWO tickets last night.

I have a Bel GX 65. 2 quick questions:
1) Do you have a mount that will work for this model?
2) With the "clear view of the sky" being stressed in the owner's manual (I know this was already addressed for a passport earlier), how will this mount affect the GPS usage?

Thank you!

Mike
