front proximity sensors

Wondering if anyone has added front sensors to a 2SS that already has back sensors. Seems like it would be doable to add front sensors and tie them in to the back ones to chime accordingly. Anyone successfully undertaken this mod?

There's more required than just sensors. You also need to be able to receive and decode the sensor signal. As these cars never had front sensors, I doubt the programming exists in the current hardware to use them, if you could even find a location to attach them to the bus.

Check out CurbAlert https://www.southerncarparts.com/curb-alert-p-5870.html

No reason you couldn’t put more than one on and put them at any angle and height to provide an almost 180 degree warning alert.

I had curb alert first. Way too many false positives. I never trusted it. Took it off sold it and put a camera on front.

I think this is where I’ll end up. New head unit with rear view and optional camera mirror hooked to a front camera.

I’ve also found I can’t see shit backing out of the driveway at night. Have to hang my head out the window.

I rarely had false positives and when I did it was only when backing out of my mildly sloped driveway and some times on a flat road, never when pulling up.
