The value of the SS1LE really cannot be matched. As others have said the ZL1 is pretty much the same price, so I would like to see a proper review between a ZL1 and M2C. I do not know who determines what cars they are going to test head to head.

Look it up in the manual it has pictures explaining everything.
See my link a few posts above on how each mode works.

Look at the tq/HP “curve” (ahem) of the M2. Any wonder it can run with a car that has 50 more HP.

If you tap it too fast it won't go into PTM mode. Press the TCS button twice while in track mode. You should get a little message and the tcs and stability lights will stay on. You can then select between wet/dry/sport 1/sport 2/race mode.

You must be in Track mode first. Perhaps this is why.

Good observation. Having said that the article mentioned them running the 1le in Track mode but not in Track PTM Race mode. If they just set it to Track they wouldnt get full engine power. Both cars have identical 0 to 60 and qtr mile times, so acceleration on track should be fairly close imo. They also dont mention no lift shifting capability. So who knows...the lap delta could have been bigger? Just a speculation on my part here.

Either way, based on price as tested, the M2 should have gone against a ZL1. That in itself shows what an amazing performance bargain SS 1LE is. And the ZL1 too of course (on a much higher level).

The value of the 1LE is so far unmatched in the segment, its insane. There is nothing even close when you compare what 1LE's are being offered for at the dealerships and the content of the package(recaros, HUD, etc)....never mind the capability of the car!

You gotta go used to equal the 1LE. 2016 ATSV for $45K, but it doesnt have the 1.05-6 capability. But is an amazing car that costs, $76K new.
