I was going to the track last night but they canceled due to weather! I was hopping to go faster than my 10.93 pass.

What's the difference in power, if you don't mind me asking?
Congrats TRW, that's a killer combo you have.

It seems to need 2 to 3 deg. less timing on 91 compared to 93 which would be 10 to 15 less HP on a N/A setup.

Nice gains. I love it. Except HP is kinda useless. It's all about the torque. I'd rather have a 110tq gain if I could and even lose some HP. Still have better performance. HP is after all, an american created statistic and quite useless otherwise.

Do you see anyone else in the world using HP as a guage of power? Nope. They always mention torque. All HP does is keep you going a little longer after you pull your foot off the gas and increase your max top speed. It isn't a true measurement of performance. Who wants or can go over 130 anyways? Where I live there's not even roads of thruways long enough to achieve that and that's fast enough anyways. Acceleration is what makes a car fun, not how you can go 150mph.

"Horsepower (hp) is the name of several units of measurement of power, the rate at which work is done. The most common conversion factor, especially for electrical power, is 1 hp = 746 watts. The term was adopted in the late 18th century by Scottish engineer James Watt to compare the output of steam engines with the power of draft horses. It was later expanded to include the output power of other types of piston engines, as well as turbines, electric motors and other machinery.[1][2] The definition of the unit varied between geographical regions. Most countries now use the SI unit watt for measurement of power. With the implementation of the EU Directive 80/181/EEC on January 1, 2010, the use of horsepower in the EU is only permitted as supplementary unit.[3]" |
