A really good friend is going to but it for his Tahoe... And put a big single turbo on it...

So, Corey will be getting firm information on the new custom built motor from ERL and we'll be calling West Coast heads or All Pro direct to order some heads...

Hopefully we'll have it all and together ready to go for the Texas Mile October Run... 30+ lbs of boost here we come... 2000 + rwhp here we come... Damn I'm excited...

The new motor will have a custom grind crank with oversized rod and main journals... Custom offset x beam rods, custom pistons and a partially filled block for strength... 6 bolt design...

The heads will be 6 bolt also and we will work with All Pro to do a custom bring cam for our land speed purposes... This was a recommendation from Sean at ERL... These heads will have a Jezel valve train and with the addition of a Corey and Robert built sheet metal intake, we'll be spinning the motor to around 8500 rpm shift points...which will allow more power...

Ready set Go............

If you have that together for the October Mile I'm going to fly out for sure! I'd like to bring my car & drive for the weekend with you but I don't know if I can till it gets closer but I'll fly out for sure. That is gonna be awesome! Your current setup would break the record as it is now but your new combo is gonna be ridiculous! Will you still be able to cruise the new motor around on the street a little?

ill be able to cruise with limited distance and weather conditions. It'll depend on the heat humidity etc. we still have the factory radiator though we may have to change that. I also may not have the car at the Fest. I'm not risking hurting anything now that it's spoken for. I'll still be there.

Robert, thanks for this post! You saved me this past weekend. We took Nathan's car up to Wyoming and then hauled my 150 back on my trailer. I performed all of my normal maintenance before we left, greased bearings and check pressure. I read this post Saturday morning and decided to take a closer look at my tires at our first gas stop that morning and found one was about down to threads on the inside and the other three were showing similar wear. Fortunately there was a tire store across the street from our stop and they had four tires for me. They checked the bearings and they could all be tightened by hand. Needless to say if I hadn't read this post I might not have taken that close a look at the tires and would of had a 150 scattered all over the highway. I will be looking for new bearings before we take the trailer out again...........
Thanks!!!

Wow, very cool it helped... If I may... On 35 immediately south of wonder world drive, on the north bound side, there is a Magnum Trailer Outlet store.. They fixed mine replaced the bearings needed, checked all the brakes etc... And it was incredibly well priced... Just throwing it out there...

And on a side note... Brandi had a Dr's appointment today... We met up with a fabricator that will be building the complete 10 point certifiable cage for her... Swing out door bars, halo, main hoop etc... The rear bars will pass over the back seat and drop into the trunk and the front down bars will drop through the dash.

We are going to remove what is already installed and then strip the interior. We will also be pulling the glass front and rear so the bars can all be welded full circumference.. We'll reinstall the interior minus the head liner and have an upholstery shop build a custom head liner and install it...

The airbags for the entire car minus the steering wheel and glovebox will be removed... We determined that we can't build the halo for someone my size that is legal with any sanctioning body... So back to square one... Not a big deal as we will sell what I have... If anyone is interested, pm me and I'll hook you up...

When we pull the motor and trans, we will send the trans back to RSG for some TLC and to swap out the input shaft... It's twisted... I will let Thomas at Hendrix look at the clutch and determine its condition. I'll either carry on with it or let him rebuild it... Depends on the wear...

And we are soon to be determining exactly which motor we are going to spec and get it on order...

We will be building the brackets and installing the new additional Weldon External pump as well... No more head gaskets due to being a bit lean...

Lots to do before October... We'll geterdone....
