Camaro5 member discount at Texas Dealerships.

I was thinking is their a way that we can get a discount at the dealerships like Classic, where we have all sent them a lot of business. Just an idea. Let me know what ya'll think. A nice discount would be nice.

I'd rather them setup a mod meet, BBQ, or something for us locals. I know a few dealerships in the area that sponsor local forums, and they definitely get more customers because of it. Even something like Camaro5 schwag would be cool.

Ryan

I am open to putting together a discount for forum members. The issues I see that would need to be addressed are;

1) When will the discount begin? This is the stinger. Most of us on the forum's have already ordered and agreed upon a price. I wouldn't want to override a price already agreed upon by a customer and another salesman. Nor would any customer want a dealer to refuse to honor a deal because another customer offered more. If a member has a current or future order with me, call me and I will put something together for you.

2) What will the discount be? Compared to the competition, MSRP is a steal. We have already stated MSRP unless you are a GM Employee or Supplier and those programs are honored by GM at time of delivery. I am thinking about putting together a pre-paid maintenance plan or a parts credit (any thoughts?) for the forum members.

3) How does the member go about obtaining the discount? I believe a private message through the forum would be best. We can verify membership and keep track of messages to ensure everyone is on the same page.

If you don't qualify for the GM Employee or Supplier programs through work or family members; go join a credit union that participates in the program or ask for the friends and family discount from a GM Employee or retiree. If GM accepts the programs we will.

Sounds Great! I will work out the details over the next couple of days. If everyone can hang tight till next week (heading out of town Friday) I will finalize the deal with my parts/service departments.
