what cylinder heads for 1000whp

what cylinder heads should I run for my new setup?

I'm leaning towards a set of lsa heads for the thicker casting?

should I run them as cast or do I need to have them ported to get rid of the "batwing" in the intake runners? plus should I have inconel exhaust valves added?

or even cheaper yet, reusing my gmpp ported ls3s?

just don't want issues and would like to hold a headgasket at this power level. my head is spinning(can you tell?)

I'm running my stock LS3 heads with ls9 gaskets and ARP studs. Hard to get quality information sometimes on forums just because people seem to think if it's not a built LSX it won't make 1000+whp.
Are the ls3 heads optimal for 1000whp? Not really they do have much better options if money is no issue.

A couple Camaros here are at the 1000whp mark on stock bottom end still.

I'll be other 1000whp but 98% of the time it will be turned down because let's face it. 1000whp and 4000lbs is going to have traction problems. Lol

If your budget allows for better heads go for it. If not keep what you have just add ls9 gaskets and ARP studs at the minimal.

I know there is plenty of untouched motors at 1000whp. but I'm looking to get years out of this motor and not have to worry about dropping or breaking a valve. I've heard mixed things like at minimum to have the intake ports cleaned up and to have the inconel exhaust valves or a solid valve that can handle the heat

Get the stock head's dykm'd to check for cracks first....then deck'd for a nice flat surface, new solid valves with valve job, (if you can get the chamber volumes equalized), basic port match on intake/exhaust and as mentioned above LS9 hd gasket and studs...solid investment of monies and extra funds go to any drive train issues that arise(and they will with that HP!!!!!)
have fun..stay safe...peace out...

If budget allows LSA/ls9 heads are a great upgrade. Get a mild port job, proper valves and springs. That is one area that you should spend money in.

While stock heads can work, long term reliability and safety factor is much lower.

If you can't afford a cheap set of LSA heads, you can't afford 1000rwhp.

I'm ordering the turbo kit Monday. and I'll have enough left over after the part out is said and done that I can buy a set of lsa heads. I'll probably call thompson motorsports and see if they have cores and go that route. I don't want to second guess myself on anything!

you misread that then. I asked if my heads would suffice or if I needed to get the other castings and work done as stated. and as I figured, I need the lsa heads.

and I was looking for answers from people that have first hand experience with cars of this caliber

Wise idea. Plenty of places people waste money, but things like fuel system and a solid head setup for a 1000+hp build will lead to a trouble free reliable setup. You don't need to worry about porting/etc if you don't want to, as that isn't needed but getting a stronger casting/thicker deck/etc is well worth it in that range.
