Roto Fab or C.A.I. Intake?
Im looking at doing my first mod to my SS. I think im gonna go with an intake first. I like the looks and sounds of the Roto Fabs and the C.A.I.s. Any good reason to choose one over the other?

I just ordered a CAI... after much research it seams as though it may give a little edge over roto-fab... I was in the air between both of them too.

Very close numbers, but for looks, Roto-Fab has them hands down. I love the look, the sound, the feel.
even better, Mike and the rest of the team has THE best service out there. 100% roto for me |

Considering these two as well. Also thought about the Halltech cuz of the numbers. It really comes down to price for me, I haven't found which one I can get for the cheapest yet but I am looking to purchase soon.

I debated the same two intakes and so happy I went with CAI. I was able to see both on cars at 21st century muscle car. The CAI looks way better and per Janettys test the Roto-Fab lost hp on average and the CAI gained an avg of 10.8hp. Enough said, pay the extra $80 (over the Roto-Fab) and get the ceramic coated CAI that keeps the hot air on the outside and the cool air inside. I installed my CAI in my service department Monday after picking it up and all the ASE techs were in aww. The entire tone of my magnaflow 3" system is much deeper.

I like Cold Air Inductions! They are a great company to deal with and you will find tons of Camaro5 members happy with their kits.

the results from Janetty's test dont hold water to other 3rd party tests, even Ted himself said he didnt understand the results.
not that CAI is a bad setup, just want to make sure the facts are the facts |

I don't think those tests were done with the redesigned roto rab. Would like to see tests between the those two done again.

Did your roto fab change the sound of the engine and exhaust like some are saying the CAI did. |

I really like the way the CAI looks with the plexi glass window. It sounds like both are excellent products, so I think im gonna go with CAI. Thanks for the responses!
