Rebuilt Supercharger Thoughts?

About to purchase one from a local member he told me he had his supercharger rebuilt. I'm a newbie when it comes to this, but having it rebuilt means the supercharger was used a lot I would say. Any thoughts from the guru's?

It doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad, but having rebuilt means, to me, that it is being taken care of. If they're saying that it's been rebuilt, then they should an invoice of what was done. I would make sure that you have that in hand just to be sure it's an honest sale. Otherwise, I would be wary.

Most important question...rebuilt by who ? And why was it rebuilt ? What was replaced ?

Actually very common. If it was redone by the OEM I would see that as a good thing, by some random person, not so much.
