UPDATE ON Scott Settlemire
He had surgery yesterday to remove a blood clot from his brain. Drs told us he had a bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic stroke) which clotted. It happened in the speech center of the brain, so he will need therapy. They'll be watching him closely for the next day or two to make sure everything is healing and the swelling goes down. After that he will need to go to a rehab center for a while. Dr is pleased with the way the surgery went. Now let's all hope for the best!! Please do not try to contact the family....waaaay too many people know and love Scott! lol ....and we do appreciate it!...just a little overwhelming. ߘ Our prayers are being heard!! Yay! Thank you all!!!
Wonderful news. He's a tough guy, he'll pull through!!

I've heard of this sort of illness before, where the clot stops the bleeding...Praying for his recovery and a successful rehabilitation...

I would like to present an idea to the Admins and Mods of this Forum. Why don't we implement a Fund Drive and raise money to build a life like statue in Scott's likeness? I think Scott deserves it. I think it is long overdue. I think a lot of Camaro enthusiasts appreciate and value what Scott has done over the years dedicating his life to the Camaro. It is only fitting that Scott receive something back for his relentless dedication to the Camaro. Thank you.

Update on Scott Settlemire.......posted on Face book from
Kathy Ross Settlemire on May 4th at 9:13 pm.

UPDATE
A friend of the family took Elaine in to see Scott Settlemire today. He seems to be about the same. The nurse said that he's doing as well as they expect, considering what he's been through. They're feeding him soft foods and he seems to enjoy every bite! His right side is weak, but they hope it will strengthen up with rehab. No talk about when or where that will be yet. Elaine showed him a few cards that came today and read them to him. She asked him if he knew the people that sent the one ...and he said "yes"!
Thank you all!!
