So basically the Redeye is the replacement for the Demon? It will be interesting to see where the pricing is for this option.

I would take a guess that the RedEye HC probably starts just under 70K. Weren’t demons around 85,000? Edit: Just saw automatic HC started around 68,000 last year, sub-70K is probably a little low.

The way I read this whole thing is that the HC Redeye is a special edition package which allows FCA to keep a top line Challenger without pissing off Demon buyers (investors) who were told Demon would be a one year car. The engine is most likely a mild retune of the Demon engine. May or may not have a part number content change.
The 717 hp rating on the “basic” HC can probably get lost in the rounding error of rating that engine. Just my initial thoughts.

I think FCA is keep to avoid Ford's SNAFU when they said the 2009(?) GT500KR was going to be king of the hill, and then had the 2010/2011 GT500 come out with the same, if not more, power. |

10:80s @ 131-mph. I guess the RedEye doesn't come with the Demon's DRs and skinnies. I'm kind of disappointed that Dodge didn't up the HP of the 392, I thought for sure we would see over 500-hp.

and Camaro had the 19 refresh.. this brand loyalty thing is wearing on me. I don't drive my Z06 much since I have two small kids. I'm Really interested in an American 4 seater and was hoping Camaro's refresh with a "hotter" variant would be the car to do it. instead we got the 19 refresh.. The redeye is really tempting me at this point. I have always been a GM fan but this is getting hard.

That’s what I was thinking. The 426 may end up in the mid 500 hp range.

Either the 392 is going away (which I doubt since it's the basis of the 6.4L V8 in the Rams) or the 392 is going down trim to be the base R/T engine and the 5.7 is done. Either way..interesting times |

550/525 would likely be enough to get me out of my Boss, and back into a Challenger.
