This is my third car with the Tremac Manual 6 Speed.
I installed a skip-shift harness on every one and it always worked flawlessly. It's the first mod you should perform!!!

If you haven't encountered the skip shift yet, you will. My bet is you won't like it. Install a Skip shift eliminator and change out the stock shifter. All your problems solved.

Except for the never ending question: "How can I make it faster, cooler... What's next?".

No mods needed. Like was said earlier, just wait a second and it will let you shift into second. If it comes up, your obviously going slow and waiting a second for it to turn itself off wont be a problem.

They put the skip shift on these cars to avoid the gas guzzler tax like the SRT8 and the GT500 have.

Be thankful for the skipshift! It helps you avoid having to pay a gas guzzler tax by showing that there are steps taken to make it as efficient as possible. $30, easy to install eliminator? Or $1000 gas guzzler tax?

Or you could buy a $0.20 (20 cent) resistor to plug in to it.

It only comes on if you try to shift before 22 mph,

I don't accelerate that slowly.

very simple to drive around the skip shift. all you need to do is start out a little heavier on the pedal and it will never do it. 25% or more throttle keeps cags in check.

Yeah, it takes a little more than that unless it never gets wet or vibrates out. By the time you bought the Packard connectors and figured out what pin the resistor goes in you could buy one off e-bay for $12.50 like I did. I'm an EE and didn't want to mess with it when it is that inexpensive. (SLP must have one hell of a profit margin on these)

I had the dealership install an APEX Skip-Shift Eliminator as soon as the car came in. I encountered it on my first test-drive (in another SS) and hated it. Best $12 you could ever spend!!

I've had my 2SS/RS for a little over 2 weeks, and I row through all the gears (1-4) in traffic, with not a single problem. The indicator still shows up in the DIC, but it does not block out the gears thanks to the Eliminator.

I have my SLP Skip-Shift listed on e-bay as we speak.

Look for my account.. Nvincent4708. The bid is still starting at $.99 with $5.00 shipping.
