OP, look on the window sticker, I believe that it will show the original dealers address.

He's saying what is the difference where it sits? None. Cars sit on dealer lots sometimes for a very long time. Doesn't hurt anything except the battery will lose charge if not started while sitting. Sounds like the other dealer was trying to piss on your parade.

You got a good deal because the dealer was desperate to get rid of the car. Your car must have unusual options or the dealer simply isn't selling a lot of Camaros.
220 days sitting is not uncommon at a dealer but it is longer than normal. The biggest worry I would have is flat spots on the tires. Does the car has a slight shake on the highway? If so, take the car back to the dealer and request new tires. Have them check the alignment too. I believe alignments are free at dealers for cars under 5,000 miles. Other than tires, 220 days of sitting is not bad for modern cars...especially since all the fluids are new anyways. I would consider an oil change though....

That's how I'm trying to look at it. The car came to $20,000 after my trade in. KBB had my trade in valued at $3000 I think. Just wanted to see if I should check anything specific like someone mentioned above with the battery.

I wouldn't worry about it. I just bought a new truck. It had about the same amount of miles on it. They drove it to get lifted and the GM drove it for a day for advertising. When I was doing the paperwork they let someone else take another lifted truck and drive an hour to see if it would fit in his garage or not. There's a million reasons miles get put on new cars. As long as it's under 1,000 miles your warranty isn't affected and starts with the mileage you bought it at. Cars sit on dealers lots waiting for sales all the time. The recent truck rebates had an extra $1000 incentive for trucks on the lot before February. It's just a part of the business like any other with inventory.

When cars aren't selling they move them. It's not like it sat there untouched for 7 months. You buying it says everything started up and all systems functioned properly.
I worked at a dealership before nothing sits in the same spot for 7 months. Everything is move or relocated and gets some fresh gas if it's sitting. But yes that is why you got such a great deal. My friend bought an 06 g35 with 900 miles on it that set at a dealership for 6 years. He bought it for 9,000$ essientally brand new. |

My car had 295 miles on it when I took delivery, but they had to bring it in from north of Atlanta (about 250 miles away).

Fluid change is a good idea. I did ours at 1500, then I can open it up more.
you could have discount tire check them first, if they say they are flat spotted, then hit the dealer. I have a 97 cavalier (wife's first new car) in our garage and it sat a full year. Had them rebalanced and rotated and they are fine. What color did you go with? Having fun yet with it? Watch out for the mod bug. It bites, is catching as hell and very expensive! Lol |
