Recommendations on bras

Not those kind, get ur mind outta the gutter

I'm driving my camaro on a 2k trip later this summer and I cant afford a clear bra so I'm thinking of buying just a cloth one for the trip. I dont want it on all the time just while it's traveling to avoid rock chips, bugs, etc. I dont want to spend a lot of $$ on it either since it will only be used a few times. Any recommendations???

I am buying this one for my summer road trip from Chicago to Myrtle Beach. Looks like it might work better than the heavier Colgan bras, and hopefully not scratch the paint.

Bra is a bad idea, it will damage your car more than some bug juice, you won't get rock chips if you don't tailgate. The particulates that will collect under the bra and windsheer together will cause bad friction scratches at the bras tightest areas usually at the points of attachement. I used to work at a bodyshop in the mid to late 80s when bras were popular, saw this occur a lot. At least back then it was a popular fashion feature, bras never really "protected" the cars though.

Just my humble opinion!

Not sure if you have ever driven through TN and Ky but it's 2 lane roads at 70mph..tailgating is the only way around these idiots, lol! I dont think one days worth of my car wearing a bra is going to hurt it any. I plan to take it off when I get to where I'm going, put it back on for the trip home and then back off. It will only be used for heavily traveling.

how much is a lot of money? the auto trim guy here quoted me like $285 to do the front bumper/fascia of the car in 3M clear bra. I am worried about the near vertical sections of the bumper and the area between the hood and the grill taking the most abuse from rocks/sand/bugs.

Everything I have heard, it's $800 for the clear bra. I just want something that will do for this trip and any others I take in the future. I'm looking at staying around $100 bucks.

Let me know which one you end up with. I'm going with the Stretch Bra from West Coast Customs as of now for my road trip in July.

Totally agree!

I had one on my 2002 Z28 for a road trip to SC and regretted it immediately when I took it off and found the dirt and scratches under it.
