Things you can't get in any model Camaro
Back in the day every higher end Camaro, Trans Am, or Mustang had a light in the glovebox, map lights, and light up vanity mirror.
Are these things too distracting that they don't offer them anymore?

It's all about the bottom line. Every 5th gen should have come with footwell lighting. If it
had been standard, and cost GM a $1.00 a car, the cost to GM would have been 1/2 million+. Just do the math.

No 4x4 option or diesel option. No hood mounted turn signal indicators either.

No passenger side keyed entry, and no keyed trunk access.
No dual snorkel air cleaner or wing windows. No hideaway headlights or chromed bumpers either. No hood ornament. No wheel opening moldings. No roll-down rear windows. Cripes. The more I think on it, what a crummy car!

I have a pretty basic 1LS Camaro and I have the map lights. Well, technically it's considered the interior dome light, but the location by the rear view mirror and the ability to turn them on and off when inside the car can serve as a map light if you need light.
I don't remember a glove box light being offered on the high end 3rd gen Camaros. It was just a console lid with a compartment. In fact, they didn't have a separate glove box like we do, just the console compartment. However, footwell lighting would have been nice as standard equipment on the 5th gen. As for the light up vanity mirrors, just turn on the dome/map light switch near the rear view mirror and that should provide enough light. To be honest, most dedicated light up vanity mirrors are basically worthless with the cheap dim lighting they usually come with. |

Ahhh But it does at least have mirrors on our small visors, and it does have a overhead console light that can be a map light and with foot well lighting you get even more ambient light. And I even added my own foot well light strips under dash to supplement it thanks to DIY gen 5 instructions to locate the wires. It also has luxuries you could only dream of in the day...... Like heated seats, heated mirrors, automatic headlights, auto dimming mirrors, Mylink, navigation, etc etc etc etc etc.....

You shouldn't have bought the sedan. My Camaro rear windows roll down!

they would have then called that $1.00 item a $250 adder on the window sticker, brining in $125,000,000 in additional revenue. not to mention the upcharge for replacement and repairs at the dealerships... math is fun |

Forgot about the convertible.
But no, after convertible ownership from 1989 to 2015, I don't need another powerful convertible. I replaced enough convertible tops (myself, not paid for it) and dealt with enough sail panel paint cracking from torque twist, moisture infiltration, noise from the rear end with the top up, scratches from boot installation/removal, and water leakage...all before the 21st century rolled around... to last me a lifetime. Not to mention the assorted yahoos that wanted to drive around while sitting on the top of the rear seat, ripping and staining my back seats. But 'sedan'? Pretty sure Chevy will say the Camaro can be had as a coupe or convertible.
