tubular front crash beams

I'm going to start making these to sell on the forums.what's shown is 1 and 5/8 pipe. I have (5) made up of 1 inch chromoly. I can do whatever other size you may want/need but 1 inch would be the smallest I'd want to go. total weight is around 3lbs with the 1 inch.

longer wait times if I need to order another size pipe.

$225 shipped to the lower 48 on the 1 inch. others will be slightly more depending on size desired

How these actually hold up in the event of a crash?

If you somebody hit you, what would insurance say?

Strongly contemplating these for front and rear.

I can see these holding up decently if you went with a slightly larger tube. but this small would be just to prevent front end sag when removing front for clearance..

insurance i don't know about

they're tig welded. I'd have to think about the tow hook as an option. maybe a threaded one that is removable?

Left Coast 32 already makes these for the Camaros.

Nahh.. from what I’m seeing for the front is about 7-8lbs saving from what’s available on the market so far. Stock front one weights 14.2
The biggest weight reduction is on the back one. I have not gotten to back yet. I got my front end fully off right now for oil cooler upgrade and figured I’d look into doing the front bar now since it’s already apart. I’m considering just making my own following my research so far.
