If I had the choice I would pick the 2012 Camaro Z28.

I feel it's safe to say that the vette will be superior in every performance category.
The Z28 will have more exclusivity though and has a completely different muscle-car look, which is certainly worthy of purchase to some for that reason alone. I would personally get the Vette, but I don't think that 500 over invoice is that great of a deal. |

if you dont need the backseat grand sport 110 percent. I love camaro's but with all the weight there is no comparison. I'll sum it all up this way. I have friend with a 2010 ss ls3 m6 He ran 12.81 @ 109.5, respectable no doubt but another frined has a bone stock m6 ls3 corvette and ran 12.1 @ 120. The vette with the SAME engine smokes the camaro, its not even a race. Like I said I love camaro's hell I have had 3 of them but the ls3 vette is just plain bad ass.

vette now, trade for the Z when/if it comes out.
although if the only difference is a body kit and a supercharger.... I'll probably just keep my SS and use the extra few grand to make it faster than a Z anyway. But that's just me.

You really can't make a educated decision right now since we don't have a real clue what the Z28 is going to be like, how much it will cost, etc etc..
But based on available info, I'd go with the Vette.

If you haven't owned a Vette, get one. I ordered, bought and drove a 1998 Torch Red Corvette Coupe with Z51 and MN6 for 10 years. I became involved at the Corvette Museum, became a lifetime member there and volunteered for events there. I even got to lead a tour through the Corvette Plant once. I sold it to my brother-n-law in 2008. He still enjoys it.

In other words , I would buy the Gran Sport and hang on to it forever, if you don't you will someday regret ever selling it...
