Interesting
I must be out of date. I’m still using ATE Amber. No issues to date
Using stock pads, so it takes firm pedal pressure.
The car has a combination of Z28 and 6th Gen front brake cooling

What are y’all using for brake cooling and pads

I used ATE amber and Super Blue in my '95 Z28 back in 2007-08. I sold the car in 2009 and it had the Super Blue in it. Sold it to a local guy. He then sold it 2 years ago to a older fella in West Virginia. He called me last year when I was coming home from a trip to Tennessee and NC, So I stopped to see the car. He let me drive it and the brakes felt amazing. And it still had the ATE Super Blue in it. From 10 years ago!

Hey guys. I have a new set of CF brake lines to put on shorty. I am looking for the best brake fluid to use.
I use my car 97% of the time for street use and the rest for Autocross and hopefully this year once or twice at the track. Novice class.
I'm hoping there is a great fluid that gives better to great brake feel and will last more than a season or 2 before needing to be changed. Also should I invest in new pads at the same time? Car has 12k
Thanks

Brembo HTC64 or Castrol SRF. Although you will get a lot of opinions about others and just as good or better. My suggestion is to start with one and go from there, but at the very minimum Dot 4

COMPRESS AWAY

Liquids are compressible. For most peoples use and general purpose as well as 8th grade science class they aren't, but they are. Hydraulic systems reach well over 3,000 psi in today's world. All liquids are not equal either. Each have comprehensibility rates. Water, JP8, and Hydraulic fluid all have different compress rates and limits. Impacted greatly based on temperature. Just a thought.

As per brake fluid. I ran StopTech brake fluid in a Viper and this ol heavy Camaro. It was fantastic under some pretty hard braking at AutoClub Speedway in Fontana. Mixed with Carbotech X24 brake pads..... It was fantastic. No issues last July in the heat for 25 mins straight.

Z28 ducts and inner fenders with 6th Gen front lower control arms and deflectors. Also using the 6th Gen heat shields behind the rotors.
From my build thread:
Deflector on pg 11, post 141
Backing plate pg 11, post 143
Duct work pg 8, post 106

Hope that helps

Prospeed RS683 is a revolutionary racing brake fluid. Not only does it boast an extremely high 583° F dry boiling point and a very high wet boiling point of 394° F, but an innovative new manufacturing process actually makes this fluid more incompressible than other fluids! Meets DOT 4 specifications and is compatible with all DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 (non-silicone) fluids. 500ml (16.9 oz) bottles.

I’m about to order some brake fluid for my car and was going to go with either SRF or HTC64, but that Prospeed RS683 looks like a great option. Especially for the price

I use motul 660 dot4
No issues
Daily drive
Race 2-3 times a year.

How often do you have to drain or check?
Min once a year, after each track event?
