SEPTEMBER CAMARO CLUB MEET!!!!! MODERN MUSCLE SHOOTOUT

HERE'S WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR:

(THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO EARN YOUR TRI-COUNTY CAMARO CLUB TRAX)

THE TRI-COUNTY CAMAROS SWFL CHAPTER'S next meet is Saturday, 27 September 2014, when we will once again cruise from Fort Myers to the Bradenton Motorsports Park for Modern Muscle Shootout.

The excitement is building and hopefully you've marked the day on your calendar and you're ready to be part of the fun!!!

The cruise from Fort Myers to Bradenton will begin in the parking lot on the south side of the Cracker Barrel Restaurant at the intersection of Palm Beach Blvd and I-75 (4260 Boatways Rd, Fort Myers, FL) at 6:30AM.

Sorry for the early wake-up, but this is a big event at the park and we must arrive early.

For those living north of Fort Myers, and wishing to join the cruise somewhere on I-75, let us know which exit you would like to use and we will contact you by phone the morning of the event with the approximate time (info from GPS) we will be passing your exit.

The cruise is open to all Camaro enthusiasts (all generations of Camaros and people) in the Southwest Florida area.

If you have FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radios please bring them as they make for great inexpensive communication between the cars!!! If you don't have the radios, please consider purchasing. Just think, when you're not using them for Camarovans, your kids or grandkids can have fun with them. I bought mine at http://www.amazon.com/Midland-GXT100...es+midland+gxt, but you can find them even cheaper at several stores including Bass Pro Shop, Walmart, RadioShack, BestBuy, etc.

I go to BMP every week and they have never checked. A helmet is all that is needed. Once they told me I needed a fireproof jacket as I was running in the 10s but they only insisted on that one time.

I have never seen them check for a loop. Especially for an event like this. Tech is pretty lax for their own street car event.

Basically bring a helmet and your good.

That said. These cars have some weak 2 piece shafts so it is good to have. You don't want a shaft coming through your floor and taking you out.

Wish i could go but, all my time is sucked up for a while until we are in the new house in about 6 weeks or so.

Come November i will be looking to get some stuff going again though.

Spent 6 hours fitting the bumper for a heritage grille. What a complete pain in the ass!!! Back at it on Tuesday when I get a few more mounting hardware.
