Half-Shaft ?

I had my 2013 on the lift for it's first oil change and a thermostat change, question on the half shafts, the pass. side was quite a bit larger diameter than the driver side one. Why two diff. sizes? Thanxs in advance Bill...

To control wheel hop. Larger shaft is hollow. GM has been doing this for awhile in performance cars. Watch the videos in the sticky thread on the top of the forum. They explain a lot.
