just curious if those of you who run with the stock Goodyear's found the need to tape or just used pam on quarter panels

the rubber buildup on the painted surfaces is minor...wheel wells are a different story

Don't over think it. On street tires with a quick spin to clean the tires off you aren't going to make much of a mess. The rubber will come off the quarter panel with a little soap and water if you wash it soon enough and if it really bothers you that there's some rubber in the wheel well you can "scrape" it out with a shop towel and some elbow grease.
