I'd probably post this question in the "LFX" forum to get any real answers.

The people around here will crush your dreams of doing a cam swap on your V6. You know stuff like "Just get a V8" type of nonsense.

Ramil on in the lfx section did them himself.....and no you wont be faster then an l99.

I’ve researched Mace cams and what I’ve gathered is that no one knows how to tune for them properly and there is little gain for what you’ll spend on them. GM engineered some good stock cams.

I know how to tune them and the stock cams are complete trash. They are 187 duration, the normal duration of other performance engines is ~210 @ 0.050".

I had big gains with mine since I am willing to rev the engine out to where they make the power. I'm pushing over 110% VE while the stock is 90%-95%.

Install was easy for me, I also replaced the cylinder heads during that time since I had snapped a few bolts in it a long time ago. Big thing is to take your time re-timing the chains.
