Spike III Build 2011 IBM 1SS/RS [COTW 6/25/12]
I'm not a vert, person. But with that shine those wheels & the black top that car is awesome looking.

To the OP, get the 1LE and don't look back. These things handle like they're on rails and the 3.91 gears are a blast! Hope you can drive a stick cause you can't get one with an auto.

I like the 10-13 look as well but I really like the 14-15 2SS setup front end and rear better. By the way....I hardly use bluetooth to play music..even though I can. I set up a 256 gb usb drive in the console with 1000's of songs all in folders for easy review. That setup works the best IMO. I just take my usb out and update new playlists or folders with new music. No commercials and pure crisp sound.

Agree. I like the refresh. I can not stand the grill on the 10-13 and would rip it off the second it was in my driveway. I love the heritage grill more than all of them.

Yes, unfortunately there are a bunch of things tied into the radio - OnStar, backup sensor, chime settings, etc., and even the HVAC controls to a certain extent but there are easy aftermarket workarounds.

The stock radio is good enough. I'd just leave it in there. I just want to be able to stream spotify from my phone.

2010 2SS here, my stock stereo has Bluetooth connection for my phone and I can stream music from my phone too. No HUD for my year but that isn't important to me and I really do not like touch screens either. I like the gauge pack in the 2SS, and the leather seats. I don't care for the refresh models, the front and rear got smushed it looks like. I like the look of the 69 Camaro and the 2010 - 2013 has the closest look in the front end. Good Luck.

Which digit in the vin signifies the 1LE? Also, where in the Vin is it? I don't think some dealers even know they have a 1LE and don't specify it.

Is there something that covers the top when its down? On my 86 Corvette conv you hit a switch and the back popped up, laid the top down and then closed it. Its it pretty much the same on the new Camaro's?

I think with the 6th gen ('16+) it is - I rented a '16 SS vert last year and I think it was set up that way. But no, the 5th gen is not the same as your Corvette - I had an '88 Corvette vert so I know exactly what you're talking about. The 5th gen Camaro has a tonneau cover (or whatever it's called) that you have to manually put in place - it's a PITA - however, I think the car looks good without it (see my pic above) so I never bother. Sort of the same as on my old '97 Z28 ragtop, I rarely bothered with it on that car either - I think I only used it if I was going to a car show or when I was in a parade once and had a couple people sitting on it. I've had my '14 up to triple digit speeds with the top down on several occasions so I can say there's no worry of it being damaged without the tonneau. This is the 10th vert I've owned and I think it's the best!
