It's prolly where the outside lights are wrapped around the side of the car a lil more than the inside ones and when looking at it from directly behind the car, the half moon shape probably looks as if it is shifted toward the center a lil too much. Right? Maybe?

Finished mine the other night. My tail lights are the non-rs which are blacked out with tint.
My only tips on doing this is to widen his specs of the half moon by like 1/8" to a 1/4" on both sides. Like he said just make a cardboard template and adjust it to your likings. Use a bright flashlight to shine in bulb hole while you place your half moons inside, this will allow you to line them up with ease. Remember also that the two outside housing set in on an angle so when you align them, be sure to rotate the housing in a way that it'll be like if it was on the car and you were standing right behind it. Use only one cardboard template. This will make sure that all your half moons are the same. Another thing I found was that you don't have to cut a hole quite as big as he used, at least I didn't have to. |

I apologize for not responding in a more timely manner. The thread went dead for four months, so I didnt look in on it.
I'm glad I looked in on it today! I'm stoked many people gave it a shot. Thanks! I hope all is well and will do my best to keep up a little better with this thread. I would love to see some other pics from the 5 or 6 people who have done this so far. Take care all. |
