Question looking to buy a new camaro. Need Advice

Ive contacted my local dealer and he said they have a flat rate of 480.00 over MSRP. To me this seems kinda like getting ripped off because i know sold at MSRP they make plenty on it.

Any advice you can give me?
Im going in tomorrow and if they want to charge me the 480.00 im not ordering it. Am i being a cheapskate?
This is what i want to order and will pay cash for it.

I am a dealer inTX. I have ordered for people in OK. Mine are all at MSRP and i have live allocations right now. And just FYI there is only like 1200 mark up in the car. Not very much, about halh of what is in trucks and SUV. If you want to call me 512-659-0115. You can look at my profile page and see my customers comments.

Hey thanks, i may just do that, Austin isn't that far and it would be a nice ride back for sure

How long does it typically take to get one? i was hoping to get one with 1 mile or less on it, not one that has been test driven or anything. I know im fussy as hell but i can't help it. I was the same way back in 1996 when i bought my truck, still have it and its still a really nice truck.

Depends spend sometime here before you order and search this forum there are other discounts that you are qualified for that may help offset the $480.

Military, Credit Union, GM credit card, there is a GM $500 discount on until the end of November.

Anyway if don't order with your local dealer with his $480 markup and have to order a days drive from were your located it maybe smarter to stay local.

Very doubful you will buy any new car with one mile or less on the odometer. The car does have to be checked out for any problems. You do want a car with no problems right? A more reasonable request would be 10 miles or less. Generally most have 3-8 miles on them.

$480 is not bad, most in socal seem to charge anywhere from 3K to 5K over sticker for an order (the exact amount was negotiable but they wanted something). I found a couple that would order for MSRP though so you just have to keep calling.

We are in McAlester, we ordered ours from Cale at Dunn Country in Eufaula Oklahoma (our 4th car in just over a year) they are awesome, if ordering it is msrp, however, I don't know what their allocations are. Nix in McAlester said they will also sell for msrp, they are worth a try.

Got screwed by original dealer in Eufuala, Oklahoma on November 3, 2009.
Found new one at Paddock Chevrolet and drove 2400 miles roundtrip to pick her up in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 5, 2009.

I can verify Mr Camaro's claim. He is a great salesman and there are no surprises. When he has allocations available, you can trust that he does and that your order will go in right away. I've had a great experience with him so far and he has been extremely diligent in keeping me informed. There are a lot of folks in this forum that have commented on how difficult it has been to get information from their dealer. You will not have that problem with Mr Camaro. Give him a call and you will not be disappointed.
