L99 Dynograph ARH Longtubes, ADM Race Intake & Tune by Carolina Automasters

Well I finally got my L99 tuned yesterday after installing ARH headers 1 7/8 w/ cats, run back to stock mufflers & my ADM Race intake. I also added a 160 tstat and rerouted heater hoses but that was more to keep temps down than make more power. I made 362RWHP 381RWTQ A gain from stock of 36RWHP and 54RWTQ

These numbers are SAE corrected on a Dynojet dyno. My best stock dyno pull was at a different shop but was also on a Dynojet SAE corrected. Both graphs, charts are included. The shop that tuned the car ran no smoothing and the stock run had smoothing set at 5 so the CAM grah is a little choppier, Jeff likes to see everything while tuning.

You can`t beat 350RWTQ at 2500rpm... It seems these L99`s w/ the tiny cam they come with make great torque but are little shy on the horsepower as opposed to the LS3. There is another member here Number 9 who I think has the same mods as me and put down almost identical numbers. Also the tune has made drivability and the feel of the car awesome. Instant throttle response, percise shifting, pulls like a freight train, comes out of the hole like it wants to go instead of feeling flat. We also found out the car likes to be a little fat at 12.7 to 1 AFR and made less power at 13.1 to 1.

Cut the AFM offIt actually got 3mpg better on the ride home w/ no AFM and a proper tune vice AFM and stock tune on the way down to Durham, NC. 3 hour drive for me but worth it. Jeff has done all my cars and has done a great job w/ them.

Can`t wait for my groups track rental Nov 13th to see what she will do...

True, but they are both dynojets and the numbers are SAE corrected, unless there is funny business, and I know both shop owners well and know there is definetly not any, I would not expect + or - 2% variance between the 2. I do plan on hitting the first dyno (stock pull) again just to firm up the numbers. My wallet has to recover first though..

It does pull like a raped ape compared to before..

Thanks Anthony! You guys make great stuff. I loved them on my C6 as well.

Nice!!!

I live in Elizabeth City NC. Good to Know there is a reputable tuner in the area that knows these cars. I plan to get my car tuned on a dyno after I'm done with all of my mods. Very similar to your mods.

What group? and track? Drag race or road course?

low end look crazy good...more important then the 27 peak whp at peak that newbies look at ...over 50 ft pds at 2500 rpm is where the fun is at!!!

Andy,

Thanks man! Not only does it perform well, but I had the car in a car show last saturday and people loved the painted airbox. Function and form baby!

Mr Desmo,

Man does it have some low end now, going 30mph in sport drop the hammer and whamm it takes off...

Kodiak,

I`m going to make a link in the southeast section about the rental its at Richmond Dragway in Richmond VA about 1.5 hours from Chesapeake. Add 30 minutes to eliz city probably take you 2 hours to get there. It is side by side racing for 6 hours, 1/4 mile track. 105 dollars. Link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...71#post1110071
