2014 GT manual vs..

Just curious, what are the real world times for the 2014 GT's stock (manual trans & auto trans) in the 1/4?

I am going to race an old acquaintance from high school next weekend at the track and want to know how bad i will destroy him for the video.

I'm not making it out to look like this is a fair race, because it's not, but i don't care, he has talked so much trash on me in the past i'm looking to get a video (and share here of course) of me destroying him.

12.4 at best, realistically 13.5 if he has never raced or even practiced. Autos will be worse, they went to a tighter converter and down low torque sucks.

Might be like this:

Huge negative DA, perfect driver and perfect track prep. Realistically in the summer, amateur driver, decent track prep, no where near that time.

There is no way his old acquaintance is going to get near that time, not even by a second, but if the OP can hit the 12 second time in his signature consistently, he will easily win and still have time to grab a beer waiting for his friend to cross the line. His biggest problem will be the zoom factor of his camera to see the car behind him at the track.

Yeah ha. I was expecting mid 13's If he doesn't roast the tires. It'll be ~100° out there and I consistently hit 12.3-12.5 in 105° weather... He's never been to the track.

Like I said, I am just looking to see what kinda gap I can possibly put on him, I know it's not going to be a fair race, but as I said.. don't care lol, just need the video to be able to show the gap

I would say at least 2 seconds since you will probably tree him very badly, then at least 1 second for the ET's. If he has a manual and he doesn't have experience shifting fast at 7000 RPM's, probably be even worse. I've seen amateur drivers here run mid 14's in V8's (Camaro's and Mustang's) in 3500+ DA.

If hes bone stock a 12.80 at around 112 is about the best hes gonna do. But if hes got any bolt ons it could be intersting, especially suspension or tires. Your 12.0 is impressive but your 115mph is not gonna make it a slaughter, gt's can hit that mph pretty easy. If he has no track experience though, it will surely be a beatdown and be sure to video it

He's bone stock and won't be hitting 112 in 100° weather and on stock tires.

Should be an easy win for you. Most stock GT's I've seen around here trap 108-112 stock and get 13.4-13.2's with a very few dipping below 13.

In a stripped out base model and auto, or a badass stick driver, I could see it with slicks. Never gonna happen on the street tires they come with. Skinny ass bicycle tires they had.

We're talking about a stock 5.0 with a piss-poor driver and crap DA. Go to the lower DA tracks where race shops put the cars to the test and you get shown times that the car is capable of if the driver is willing to practice.
