Weird spots on my headlights

I have what looks like tiny chips on my headlights. They don't show when the lights are off, but when I turn them on at night I get the tiny glowing dots you see in the pic. I can't feel them with my fingers, but they could be super tiny and made to look larger from the light. Any ideas, and how to clean it up?

Did you try claying? Could they be bugs?

Definitely not bugs. Coincidentally, I just clayed the headlights a few days ago as part of a full strip and seal.

It sounds like this isn't one of those things that's common. I'll take a look at it through a magnifying glass tomorrow. The car is a 2014, so hopefully it's something that will be covered under the warranty.

My 2015 has the same exact same issue. Outer surface is smooth as can be and clean! Seems like it must be on the inside.

I have the same issue on my 2010. I always felt it was wear and tear from rocks, and sand. I see the same thing thru my windshield. Looks like it has been thru a sand storm.

I have come to accept it as is.

Same thing on my 2010. I beleive it is in part due to corrosion of the plastic.
