Well you would have to prep the surface and in doing so the new paint will stick but I like the idea of wrapping it. That I might do and I always wanted to try it to see if I could do that. I love learning new skill sets. For me painting it is a lot easier and fun to do. But I have makeshift paint booth that I can put up in half an hour in my garage.

That's a great idea and I have wanted to try it so why not on a small part to practice on. My wife is going to hate this, now I have an excuse to buy the materials. Lol

That's a good idea. I have wrapped parts before. Getting some practice with the wrap helps to get accustomed to how it handles and conforms around edges and different shapes.

I had very good luck with 3M wraps as they are very forgiving and rather thin and stretchy, very good for beginners. I wrapped my hood in 3M 1080 Satin Black and it came out amazing. I also have a small roll of very nice looking gloss carbon fiber VViViD wrap that was a nightmare to work with. It's super thick and hard to get it to conform to anything that isn't flat.

This is just to give you an idea to research your wrap as well. You can pretty much get any color and finish you want, but learning about what is easy to work with for specific parts helps a lot.

Hey Scott, did you install one of these by chance? Been doing some looking but can't seem to find much info on the forum let alone pictures.

is there a place I can find the OEM GM one? Will calling a chevy dealer be of any help?

thx
I have mine for sale. asking 650. in great condition.

I agree with Bluebagger06, I bought mine last year and have some lower bumper work to do before I install it. I know I few others that have it and it's solid. Pic with it fitted on with the bottom of mine with the 2 10mm bolts. I took this pic before I bought staggered 20 x 9 and 20 x 10 Factory reproduction rims and Conti tires.
