Pro128 2011 Camaro SS - Turbo and 4l80e swapped
I wanted to start a forum post to start logging some of the issues I'm having with the setup with the pro128 so I can get feedback from other users.
Back story: Two years ago, I set out to build my car for 1000 RWHP and hit that. See build forum: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=536290 Last winter, I had a pro128 installed. It was wrapped up with initial setup recently, but we are still troubleshooting some issues. Below is a list of issues I still have: Oil temp gauge does not work (read this is calculated, not a real sensor) Trans temp gauge does not work (retained the M6 trans temp sensor) Low gear works, but 3,2,1 do not work (4l80e) Below is a list of issues I have resolved and cover in this post: Trans is not shifting into 3rd and 4th correctly Converter is locking up, but feels soft, maybe slipping I will try to post some screen shots to help with what my current settings are, and for people to reference if they want to do a similar setup. Alright, so I got a couple things dialed in. We were able to get the convert to lock up. Default frequency was in correct. Once we changed convert lockup solenoid frequency to 32 Hz, that worked.
The second issue with the shifts not working and converter feeling soft was a low line pressure issue. The default EPC control (line pressure control) was set at 100% at low throttle (cruising) and didn't drop enough. I lowered these numbers to drive up line pressure, and now the shifts are nice and firm and the converter lockup is much better. I will throw some pictures up of where these changes were made. |

OKay boys and girls, or whoever actually reads this.
we did get temp reading. The ECU is getting trans temp from the internal sensor on the 4l80e. However, this is not translating to the gauge working. We are still troubleshooting that. |
