It really comes down a pile if factors I don't have time to list but to summerize

Really High boost applications with high IAT can benefit from both.

What works for them may not work for you.

Love that smell - cheap race fuel.

What should the default frequency be in HPT? I have two different tunes for my car, from two different shops, and they both use a different value. One uses 60 Hz and the other uses 90 Hz. Which is correct, or is neither correct?

From what I have seen 90Hz is the correct setting.

I just installed the DSX flex fuel sensor kit JRE - Ted sells. I turned on the flex sensor in HP tuners to make sure it works. It did correctly show 9.8% for my pump gas and I added 5gal of e85 and it went to 29.8%. I didn't adjust the frequency or anything else. I think it had the option of 60khz but I left it where it was, 90khz IIRC. Or was it in hertz not kilohertz, whatever.
The air fuel tables and the spark tables for e85 are blank from the factory. I purchased his mail order tune with those filled in which I'll upload after I put in the larger injectors. First I wanted to make sure I got the sensor installed correctly. I recommend this kit. The new style GM factory clips give me some trouble and the instructions could be better to help people like me not familiar with them but youtube and searches are helpful. I didn't break any so that is a win.
The whole kit clips right in with no troubles if you are smarter than the clips.
Edit: BTW the butt dyno says I lost 50 or 100hp going to 30% ethanol without having the spark and fuel tables properly filled in "tuned". In case anyone was wondering if it's necessary.

Ted,

If I do the conversion, will you be able to update my current SCTx4 tune to enable flex fuel, or would I need to purchase HP tuner?

Good afternoon Ted. Are you willing to tune my car with another injector other than the ID's? Dont want to have to switch out what I already bought. Thanks Ryan

Yes no problem as long as you have the supporting fuel system components.

We stock everything Camaro performance so give us a shot.

Yes, I can tune anything, but it will takes more work for sure, every time I tune an off brand injector the data does not match the injectors in the motor and I have to go old school and keep adjusting the data until it gets close, also, I will not be responsible for any quirks caused by the off brand injectors like long cranking, black smoke on hot starts etc. all things we have seen and have been reported on here.

You can't drill out an injector and expect it to have any quality or accuracy.

Ted.
