I've heard a number of guys say that an 18" is possible, with the right barrel, but I haven't seen any myself yet. Caliper to wheel barrel clearance is aready tight on the 19's. Plus, tire selection is very limited in 18's when you start talking 305-325 section widths. I originally wanted a 2nd set of 18's for my SS 1LE for a square street tire setup, but there are almost no choices in a 305 width 18" wheel. So that is why I'm running 305/30 19 square on my SS 1LE.

My dad has a ZL1 1LE, and we ended up ordering a set of BC Forged RZ05 in OE sizes.

You think this is true for 18", on a ZL1 1LE? I think not.


Provoste is one of the best sources for information that I could find on alternative wheel diameter sizing and offsets for 1LE cars. My impression is that he's very tuned-in to what wheels and tires people have been running at the track on various Camaros.


Plus, I'm not keen on barking at people for posting a question that has been asked before. I hope this forum can be a friendly source of information. It can be hard to pull up a relevant thread with a search, and it's a skill that some people haven't mastered. If you don't want to see a new thread on a topic that has been covered thoroughly before, just post a link to that earlier thread.
