Tim:

Don't feel bad...took mine up to Center Point and back today...then washed it again...hit a new low: I WAXED AND BUFFED THE MUFFLERS! I also waxed the BOTTOMS of the ground effects and both the front and rear diffusers. I also wiped down the rear sways and the cradle/frame under the car.

And now I want to drive it again tomorrow damn it!

Keep the votes coming guys...5 behind right now!

Hope everyone keeps the Camaros away from ANY source of black Friday stupidity tomorrow.

I have only had my car garaged for like 2 weeks and I already want to pull it back out. I have been looking at some exhaust systems. I was looking at ARH LT headers with 1 7/8 with the cat back system from SOLO Performance with the J Pipes. I remember talking to Powerman Paul that if I put LT headers on that I will be looking at getting it tuned to clear CELs. So I was wondering if any of you guys here know a reliable professional place that I can get my car tuned after getting an exhaust system put on. Also, is there any places that you recommend me going to have my exhaust system put on. Thanks.

978 bucks worth of toys to Toys for Tots on Saturday.

We bought Target out of Hot Wheels, lol.

For when cabin fever has really set in, we have the indoor car show down here in January. And there's supposed to be a "Big Boy's Toys" show in March I think. (cars, trucks, guns, fishing, hooters girls, beer, etc.)

As far as a tune voiding your warranty... Magnuson - Moss warranty act and Sema articles of incorporation say otherwise. You gotta know where to draw the line or just not expect coverage anymore. You guys can get Maggie's and E-force setups with optional extended warranty coverage. A blower is a lot more "risky" than headers, and most certainly requires a tune.

Just kinda thought of it -

the toys for tots thing was part of a pseudo charity thing I created, more of a get people off the couch and getting them involved campaign.

http://tsacedarrapids.org/ is the website for the cedar rapids salvation army

you guys could meet up and buy up some pretty sweet camaro toys? I know we donated several 5th gen r/c cars and hot wheels saturday.

It's kinda fun because you end up looking through the stuff thinking "heck I'd play with this" that's when you know it's a good toy for a needy kid. lol.

If ya do it, post up some pics for us to check out at http://facebook.com/tot.mob

Tim:

Yes. I waxed the PAINTED rear difuser on the car...and while under there I used the wax towel to clean some residue off off the stainless steel canisters on the mufflers. Shiny now. I know it will burn off, but right now, they just gleem!

rburns: Be careful on the headers. They WILL require a tune and that will destroy your warranty as Tim stated. My car is tuned, but I was able to purchase a warranty to cover the drivetrain through Edelbrock. So I still have my bumper to bumper for all other aspects of the car...just nothing in the middle. That is a private warranty.

I have so many mods on my wish list right now...Oracle colorshift halos...LS3 conversion ($$$$$$ :( )...cosmetic mods (stay tuned)...drilled rotors...starting to miss my "cheap" BMW.

roadrage - awesome job! We usually let the kids pick a few things to donate to toys for tots. They do a nice job finding fun toys to give each year.

You get a from me.

If you guys are down with setting up a camaro5 toy drive, I can give you the basics on what I did, Target kicked in 250 bucks towards the effort down here. They're not allowed to put toy boxes out, so they were all about helping.

You'd really be surprised at what you can accomplish with even 10 people.

My personal goal for next year is to donate a power wheels. lol. what kid expects that from a stranger?

My luck finally ran out, the county got me. The last nice day of the year. He was nice about it though; I appreciated the fact that he let me keep my license. I knew the time would come when I would see those red lights in the mirror.

He was going West and me East on the Van Horne/Newhall Blacktop. We met just as we crested the hill, I did not see any brake lights so I punched it. I made it seven miles and two four way stop signs before he came into view. I had another four way stop to go through. He turned his lights on and I pulled over at the next stop sign. We had a nice discussion and he allowed me to go on my way. No more tickets in the Camaro till next year.
Any plans of getting together in the cooler months?
