Thinking about going to a cooler plug

Coming up on 45K in mileage and looking at a spark plug change to go one step cooler (level 7). Looking at the NGK IRIDIUM IX Spark Plug LTR7IX-11. Anybody with a SC go to cooler plugs yet ? Seems most people on other V6 forums have said there is a performance increase.

Did this too, as did Cant_C_Me and a few others I believe. Not sure that you will see a performance increase per se but more likely a consistent performance.

Just curious as I am just about to join you guys in the SC frenzy. Why don't they include or do that from the install if it is truly helpful\better?

Kind of like GM not putting a catch can on the V6. Its not really necessary but I wanted it. The possible damage can't be under estimated.

I have the ipf kit for a while now. I started throwing several misfire codes on all cylinders. Put in the one step colder NGO plugs and gapped smaller. No more codes. I'm a lurker on here. Just an FYI my kit made 380 hp. I'm in the process of long tube headers, full pfadt and pedders suspension, coilovers and now my 3.91 rear gear.

I have my NGK's set at .40 anything lower and I get misfires. Every car is different when pushing the limit!
