Oh I do have one more bit of good news; as I was detailing my car last night I made sure to look over the gill area really well. I can say without a doubt that the GM splashguards have done a great job keeping my gills safe and sound from chips. 9,000 miles through sand, snow, and grime not one spec of anything wrong.

EDIT: Stopped off to check the progress on my car and speak with the technician. They have the trunk lid and hood off. A few panels had already been done. The tech is a nice guy, he and I talked awhile. Anyway while my car was in for work I wanted them to remove the front emblem. They didn't want to fight it as they weren't sure if they were going to break the grill trying to take the emblem off. (They aren't going to remove the front fascia.) So I grabbed a screw driver and started at it myself since I had removed the emblem before on my 2011. They handed be a panel removing tool and I took off the emblem. I love the front now. Clean and mean looking.

Boy, it's a good thing I'm keeping this forum going.

I got my car back tonight, looks AMAZING! The people at Progressive and Qwik-way Dent repair did an excellent job taking care of me. I will get pictures up tomorrow. It was raining most of the evening and I was working on my 76.

Welcome Rand! I myself just joined the forum a few weeks ago. I've found a wealth of knowledge and a great and active community here. That 4th gen looks pretty awesome. Sounds like you got a great deal on it too, which makes it even better.

Working a Firehouse #9 today on the NE side. Drove the Camaro to work today and saw a black vert by Atkins, silver with hockey stripes on Blair's Ferry and a yellow on Boyson. Good day to be out. Hope to see some of you at events soon...
