How to replace wiper blade arms on a 96 Z28

On my 1996 Camaro Z28 I need to replace the windshield wiper Arm. I have a 94 parts car sitting at a friends house and I can just pull the wiper arm off but that is where I run into the problem… These early 4th gen wiper blade arms are so hard (or I just don’t know how) to remove… I popped the housing, then unbolted it but like it seems the entire arm is screwed in and I dontk now how to get it out. Any ideas? If you guys have pictures that would be extremely helpful.

do you need to replace the entire arm or just the blade?

the arm itself is pressed onto a splined shaft. get some PB blaster and soak the shaft over night then come back and start on it again. they can be a PITA to remove. I cracked my windshield pulling mine, so be careful

its a PITA.

here's a diagram of the whole linkage

when I went to pull mine off, it was because the drivers side blade didnt move with the pass side.... after cracking the windshield I found that the linkage that connects the left and right sides was popped off.

so I basically cracked my windshield over nothing...

Maybe use a small pulley puller?

Oh, nevermind, I just realized the setup and that won't work.
Sorry! I'll butt out now.
