Tire Wear on 2SS RS stock tires

I have a 2010 2SS with the RS package and stock pirelli tires, which have about 4,500 miles on them. I have noticed some pretty nasty cuts in the sidewall and part of the tread. I have seen this same wear on tires used for auto cross. These tires have not been driven hard. I am curious to see if there are others who are seeing this type of ware on the same tires. I am aware they are soft and won't take as much abuse but think this is abnormal for normal street driving. I have noticed this mainly on the left front but have also found one spot on the left rear.
My tire pressure ranges from 34 (cold) to 38 (hot) and they all seem to be about 1/8" deep.

Thanks for the responses.

Well first off you don't want the tire pressure at 34. The manual states that they should read 36 cold. Also, the RS package comes with summer tires; which are a harder rubber than your average all season tire. IMHO the cuts and what not are probably from junk on the road. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Underinflated tire role onto the sidewall there.

thanks for the reply's. I try to keep them about 36psi cold, difficult right now because the temperature is ranging from about 55F to 87F, so i've been watching my running PSI as it has always stayed fairly stable. I assumed it was from tire role, I was just kinda surprised as I have not driven her that hard.

Go to the dealership and tell them you want your tires filled with nitrogen... Problem fixed... I had mine done about 8 month ago... DIC always says 37lbs in all fours... all the time... no matter what the weather...

Looks like curb damage to me. That's not tire wear.

I believe summer tires are a softer compound, hense the lower wear rating.

The Pirellis are a softer compound tire than your average all season tire. Summer only tires always have a softer compound.

pretty sure it's not curb damage, i'd remember that and my rims would likely show the tale signs of curb rash

Well it's not tire wear, it's tire damage from something that you drove on or over.

Damage, not wear, from hitting debris on the road.

Or damage from the transporter ramp when your car was delivered. Happened to me years ago.
