Getting Aeroforce Gauges to read boost!?

So I cannot for the life of me get my gauges to read the boost properly. I had a ZR1 3Bar map sensor installed with my Aeroforce Gauges and tuned by Matt@FSP. The gauge, even while in boost is reading negative (i.e. WOT -20.5psi-just example).

Anyone running the aeroforce that may be able to assist!?

Thanks!

Chris

Did you install the aeroforce boost kit or just using ob2 to get the readings?

If just using the zr1 map, it is in the tune and the settings are in this thread.

All you need is the zr1 sensor and the necessary tune adjustment. I am also running the zr1 sensor and dual aeroforces. You could have it monitor kpa and then mentally correlate that to boost until you get the readings straightenend out. 200kpa is around 15# of boost i believe. You can find charts all over the internet.

Is that -20.5psi a value you converted to get? Your Aeroforce gauges should be reading MAP in kpa. With the engine off but the key in the on position you would be at 0 manifold pressure, your Aeroforce gauge should be reading 101kpa.

I have Aeroforce gauges in my G8, with their MAP sensor for boost, and also the GM 3bar MAP sensor. I installed the GM sensor so I can log boost, and also compare to the Aeroforce sensor and see how accurate it is.

Mine shows both psi and kpa. I believe it measures kpa and uses an algorithm to convert to boost.

I think you can send it back and have a reflash done to enable it if it doesnt. I would shoot them an email.

The ZR1 map sensor changes MUST be completed otherwise the car will not run on the new MAP sensor. So that is already correct in the tune

That must be it. The stock computer does not read boost pressure as PSI, rather it reads in KPa. I don't mind doing the conversion because I've done so many different boost levels I know how to correlate them. As per the gauges, I do not know the Aeroforce gauges that well, as most client's know them better than I and I have never been a reseller for them. Had a lot of GTO client's install them back in 04-06.
