Keeping the offset specs secret is definetly not in the spirit of this forum but I agree they must be under CIA lockdown because no one has been able or willing to share. And although I can afford the $4500 I just can't see spending that kind of money

I know it 3 years ago, and to show you it can be done here is a pic of the one i put on now.
I think they knew it then too since this thread was created 8/14/09

I work with the owner of Forgeline on our special builds. Dave and his crew bend over backwards for us. They work with us to make impossible possible. I respect the effort that Dave and his guys put into our projects. In exchange for their expertise and commitment to Pedders I consider the offsets to be the intellectual property of Forgeline. They did the work. They earned it. They deserve it.

Pedders commitment to the C5 forum is exceptionally deep. We provide support to any forum member that requests help regardless of what brand suspension they have on their car. We provide more performance and setup detail than any other vendor on C5 that I am aware of. We do it because we love what we do, we are 5th Gen enthusiasts and we have so many friends here.

That said, we are not socialists, progressives or communists and think that profit is not a dirty word

We are running 10.5x20s at all four wheels on the L/28. We choose the ZL1 spec 305/35/20. The ZL1 spec tire has a very strong side wall, sticky center section rubber and more durable rubber in the shoulders. It is designed for a performance car that tips the scales on the high side. They perform very well. They do rub the plastic inner fender, but for the L/28 we consider that self clearancing

There are a couple of very good tires available in 305/30/20s that should not rub and rumor has it Forgeline may have the secret formula to do 11s.

So what would you recommend for a setup on a budget for 19's for those who cannot afford the Forgelines Justice pete? Something like the 1LE?

JusticePete

I also am a capitalist and believe in intellectual property. But I'm also not in the finical position to spend $6000 on a new tire/wheel package. That being said, probably means something like Forgestars not Forgelines :(.Last spring I installed Pedders Pace Car kit with ZL1 style rear sway bar and full alignment kit.Set ride height F&R to 650mm(measured pedders way).Had an aggressive street wheel alignment done and maxed out the caster to 7.5.I've started doing HPDEs and starting to realize I need wider tires. My car sometimes scrapes metal in the front (?)so I'm thinking 20s not 19s.So Pete, the $4000 question is,can you recommend or suggest to me wheel widths, offsets, tire choices for my car? It's a 9 mo/yr. semi daily driver. What about the1LE setup?

Are you wanting a dedicated track wheel/tire combo or daily driver? Tread life concerns? Budget?
Some rotary forged TSW's in 20x10 +35 would give you a reasonably light square setup for cheap but tires would depend on the questions above. 285's all the way around would work.

They don't have the right offsets in 19" from what I've seen. At least not in rotary forged but I may not have looked hard enough.
