Gearz TV Jimmy Johnson 18 SS

any of you guys see the Gearz TV eposide featuring Jimmy Johnsons 18 Black SS? Here in Dallas the show comes out on the velocity channel. Just caught the very tail end of the episode, but they gave it a custom paint (stripes), supercharger, they installed a cat back on the portion i did see...sounded great. suspension mods and some very cool very large black drilled / vented rotors. came out pretty nice except the wheels. they put on some 70's looking wheels...could have done much better. the hood is way cool!!

Hideous hood. Stripes look like they fell off a FRS and blew onto the camaro and duckbill wing is... out of place. I do like that they went with silver wheels vs brake dust colored wheels all the rage now a days.

make sure to put that slick50 in your oil. make sure to buy what ever snake oil product is sponsoring us today. I hate these shows just like I hate the add rag magazines. We will say your product is the best thing since sliced bread if you take out a full page add.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

I missed part 1. This week's episode was "Old Number Seven - part 2" for those looking to catch it next time around. Preview: https://www.wildtv.ca/preview/1632859361

They did seven upgrades:
1. Engine - Edelbrock E-force SC.
2. Interior - new upholstery to match the copper color scheme.
3. Exhaust - ??? axle back that retained the NPP.
4. Suspension - BMR stuff all around.
5. Spoiler - ???
6. ???
7. Brakes, wheels and tires - Wilwood 6 pistons up front (from stock 4 piston) and forged Welds.

Don't recall SD talking about the hood, which is too mullet for my taste. But I like the stripes, already on the car at the start of the show. They should have matched the wheels to the same color (chrome looks a bit out of place vs. all the copper), but the Welds were a good choice.

Anderson Composite trunk with integrated spoiler. I recently got this. Personally think it is the best possible look for the rear end. The lines work from all angles and it even works with the two weird lines under the tail lights. It flows from the rear fender hips into the truck and spoiler perfectly.

The hood and rims are hideous. Chrome rims on the black paint with no chrome anywhere else to merge the accent makes it sticks out like sore thumb. And the basic design of those rims just doesn't work with the car. That... plus it is clashing with the carbon fiber elements which really are the main accent element on this car. The rims should be black of some kind, matte or gloss in order to at least merge with the predominantly black carbon fiber accents and of course the rest of the cars paint.
