Radial fronts with bias rear will not track as well as a bias on front.

You can run a bias front well with either bias or radial rears.

He's getting mixed reviews since he posted it here and we are all largely telling him not to run this combo:

Rhino is correct. Bias in the rear with radial up front is a bad combo that is just not the proper way to do it. OP needs to get a set of skinnies up front with some frontrunners or just use a radial out back.

My car at 125MPH with bias on the back and stock tires on front damn near swapped lanes at the track. It is dangerous and espicially if you are not prepared and try to correct it.

That's a 10" wide on 19" rim stock front tire. I have 245 on a 17" rim. You probably had 32 psi, mine have 42psi Big difference when comparing.

Why ask a question if you will automatically argue for one side? I have yet to drag my car so I don't know but what I do know is that the smartest people when it comes to our Camaros are the people on here. Just my $00.02

I'm not being argumentive, and yes that's y I'm asking Camaro owners this question. Why provide input when it is out of left field. You went bias in the rear and left a huge front radial on there and wonder why you got shoot out of the lane. I may be asking about a radial mix but at least it's a 8" tire not 11". I want opinions from people with experience in this. Not just everyone telling me what they hear.

Also everyone wants to say match it with a bias, we'll find me a 7" wide bias 17" tire and I will. I would rather run my radial that can support the weight then a 4" tire that's maxed out before I even get in the car.

Also if you don't have input why chime in just to say that you don't have input. I don't need opinions I need experience. Bc the guys that DO run this combo say it's not a very big issue. It's the guys that don't run this combo who are saying who unsafe it is and how bad they sway is... But guys running this say sway isn't very bad. So I'm going to take more of what the guys running this combo into consideration.

I ran 10.9@125 1.47 with 215 radials up front on 17x7s and 28x17 hoosier slicks in back. Drove fine.

But I think it depends on combo. If you had 20s up front it might not drive as nice.

It depends on many factors. After years of experience and watching guys with that combo hit the wall. I won't take the chance with any of my cars.

Well today I got my own opinion on the combo. Starting at 26psi in the rear and aired down to 18 throughout the day. Did not have much issues at all. Like the guys said before, grow some balls lol. Only time it got a little bad was when I got loss of the line and when I got it straightened out it started tracking to the left and I tried to correct it about 3/4 down the track and felt some sway so I let out and it was fine.

Thanks for the opinions everyone, I don't think it's as bad as it's lead to believe. Thanks for looking out for my safety though guys. Hope to see some at camarofest.

I think a radial skinny and bias rear is better than stock front and bias rear.

Stock front is heavy and has more rolling resistance.
