I was looking for a price for the bracket only? If I switched catch cans I would like the option to have the steel braided lines.

So I went ahead and changed the side hose to point towards the firewall. It literally took me 10 minutes to do it. Took me longer to get my tools and put them away then it did to remove the can from the car and change the location. With the quick connect fittings an 11/16 wrench can remove both hoses and a 10mm socket/ratchet can remove the entire can from the car in less then a minute. The install was just as quick.

How much does it all weigh? Any chance you still have the box and could check?

My Z is a little weight conscience.

That would have to be a question for Apex Chase. I didn't have it shipped to me or have the original package due to my car being a test car for it. Just had all the parts in hand and installed it at a Cars and Coffee meet here locally.

The weight on your shipping label is 3.8 lbs. Keep in mind that includes everything; the catch can, bracket, hose, fittings, hardware, packing material, and the box itself.

I know, just was looking for an idea is all. I'll be weighing everything when I get it.

And no worries Chase - I'd still install your catch can even if it weighed 13.8 lbs. (would have to remove more than just the center speaker afterwards though).

Thanks, I appreciate that. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after you get it installed.

Just skip that Big Mac or Whopper and you won't even notice an extra pound.

Very cool Chase - looking forward to maybe seeing a cross-section of the internals and hearing about color/pricing options. My birthday is coming up in November!

As a vendor we are not allowed to post pricing info or links to our website in technical forums but the catch can is live on our website so you can go check it our. Right now the only color available is the satin black anodized finish. Going forward we may add a few other options but we are not going to get into color matching every factory color.

We don't have one that we have chopped catch can but here are a few detail photo. This is with the bottom unscrewed so you are looking at the bottom of the filtration chamber.

Here is one looking into the bottom of the filtration chamber. You can see the media inside.

And this is the filtration chamber removed from the upper portion on the catch can and the filtration media removed. As you can see, it can be completely disassembled so that is can be cleaned. The inner wall also features a ribbed texture to prevent gasses from working the edges and slipping around the filtration media and out the bottom.

We are working on application specific instructions right now and will have them available for download.

I'm happy with my Elite can but I'm glad to see there is someone stepping up and making what seems to be a quality piece especially after the Rx debacle.

Good job Apex.
