You pulled the turbo off....and started the car ?

Something very wrong with that statement. And oil poured out from where ? ( which may not be surprising if there is no turbo fitted to the car when there should be lol )

I think we need some proper background to this story

I think hes saying he cranked the car with the feed disconnected to make sure he was getting proper oil pressure from the oil line to the turbo

Yes just made sure the feed was pushing oil.
