What nitrous kit do you recommend, and any issues using it on a Rod mod GPI intake?

As the title asks: What nitrous kit do you recommend, and any issues using it on a Rod modded and ported GPI intake? I have read the nitrous thread and done some reading through various threads and still am not sure. Who here has experience with nitrous on their LS3 camaro and can help guide me in the right direction. Current mods are in my sig. I am upgrading to E-85 with the flex sensor and bigger injectors so anytime i run the nitrous it will be on E-85. Looking to do a 150 shot max. I am also looking to do the rod mod and intake porting by GPI before I install the nitrous and bigger injectors. Is there any issue running that intake with nitrous?

Thanks in advance for any help, I just want to make the right decision the first time as I am new to Nitrous. And yes the car will be tuned by a well trusted shop.

I have installed the ZEX Kit and have had very good luck with it with a 125 shot. I have the stock intake (No Rod Mod). I would consult the guys at GPI about usage with their intake manifold or hit up Dynosteve on here about the Nitrous kit. He has a good deal on the ZEX kit and is very knowledgeable regarding the mods and applications for using it. Link to the video of my install if you have not already seen it.

Thanks. I subscribed to your YouTube channel and will watch some of your vids in a bit. I figured I would email GPI if I don't get a good response in here. Are you running a basic nitrous kit? Or is it a 90mm plate kit and did you add anything like a timing retard box or any other accessory?

Definitely reach out to GPI and ask. Theoretically, I don't see why nitrous would be a problem with a rod mod, other than it may be a little weaker than a stock manifold with regard to resisting damage in the event of a backfire. But I don't think a stocker would survive much better. But flow wise I can't see a reason it wouldn't pull a wet shot through just as well or better than the stocker.

That was my thought as to how weak it would make it, but true, these manifolds are weak as they are. I will see what they say

I see the NOS kit comes with the progressive controller all for under $800. What else would i really need? a timing retarder, purge, anything else?

So far I've had no issues using the Nitrous Outlet plate system designed for our car. Their customer service is excellent. You will definitely need more fuel if your tapping off the rail and using E85. Possibly a dedicated fuel system for the N2O. Depends on the capability of what fuel pump you install in the tank. I would add a wideband as well.

Good info, thanks. I do have a wideband to install which is a good piece of mind. As far as the fuel pump, what did you do? Will a ZL1 fuel pump be enough or did you go with a stand alone?

Installed a Nitrous Outlet dedicated pump for the N2O about a month ago. Roads and weather is still bad.
