Shifter knob - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 12 camaro and i dont like the factory shifter. But i do like the 2013 IOM stiched leather shifter. But i have herd that the 2013 knob wont fit the 2012 stock shifter you have to buy the ZL1 shifter to fit on an 2012. I this true? If i upgrade to MGW shifter will i be able to use the 2013 shifter with the MGW? Any info would be awsome. And sorry if there is a thread on this already i used the search but no luck.
