Entire Order/Production Process (with dates and codes)
Is there a post or sticky with the entire ordering/production process? (For example: 1100 on 08/02/10 through 6000 on 09/13/10.) I've searched and have not found anything/anyone with the entire process. (It seems that when someone gets their car, they abandon their status....almost like they have better things to do.go figure.)

Hey, THANKS Becky for the update the other day BTW.
I had seen that sticky. I even copied and pasted the codes on my home and work computers so I can keep track no matter where I am at the time, lol. What I was wondering was has anyone put dates beside the whole process of codes/status. Most posts I have seen people stop putting dates beside their status when they reach 3800. :(

I haven't updated my sig yet- too busy working and playing. Does this help?
Also I knew my dealer had an allocation the day I ordered. The group with my TPW were pretty spread out in the timing. I got mine second (I think) there is still one person who is picking his up this week. There seem to be a good number that are going on-hold for a period of time for QA. They can be on hold from a day to a week or so.

Yeah, THANK YOU, Snowtrill, that's what I was looking for! I noticed your order was in the middle of the plant shut down. I bet that was a bummer. I'm feeling for everyone on hold....I hope nothing major is going on with our rides!

That stinks! For me this is half the fun of waiting...trying to get a realistic timeline with the codes to plan ahead (order more Zanio products, insurance, financing, etc.). But, I would not have known about the codes if it were not for C5. My dealer did not tell me much either, and I think I knew more than he did because of all I read on here! (BTW: nice Camaros in your avatar

Then the plant decided they were going to kick into high gear and Rogue showed up MUCH earlier than planned. About time my luck changed for the better. One of the things I did was started reading the TPW threads as they were happening. Maybe start with 7/26 which is mine, they will give you the story as it unfolded for all of us. It really is helpful to have several people to share the pain (and there will be some during this process). You also get to celebrate several times over.

The complete list of event codes are available from your dealer. Now whether they know where to find them or not, is another question. If they don't know, tell them to:
1. log on to gm-globalconnect 2. Under the order workbench tab, go to manage inventory 3.under manage invemtory, go to vehicle order inquiry 4.type the order # or last 8 of the VIN 5. when it comes up, scroll to the bottom where is says "view event history" 6. open that and the complete event history with dates is there. I don't know how long that stays in the system, but it does for awhile, so ask them to do it. I wish I could do it for you, but the system only allows the ordering dealer to do it at this time. If that changes, I'll let you know. |

They should still be able to pull them up. Get your salesman to pull up the history by the order number. If you don't still have the order number, it is on the invoice.
