Haha so I picked this iron 6.0 up and was told it was ready to run. The cam bearings were wore down to the rough brass, you can see how one of the mains were smashed and muchroomes out. Not sure if they forgot to set the thrust or what but it was destroyed. New king mains and rod bearings, gapped them to .026/.028. Long block is done besides some shorter pushrods. FWIW, that $9 seal installer from tooley is MONEY, slick as shit.

The ex valves were pretty bad, touched them up and lapped quick.

With the triple, the clutch pedal release was as smooth as butter, and there was no chatter. This is not an on off switch type of clutch. It just works great. Expensive at first, but ingest easier to pocket with each future rebuild. I never had any issue with the triple I ran.

Just my opinion..

Thx for the input! I’m thinking about the monster lt1-s triple rated to 1500. I don’t plan to hit that but build it for 1500 fuel and clutch and run at 8-900.
