Not cool banging your chest at Scotty cuz you're a "bigger" dealership, he's done nothing but support the Camaro fans and offering us a fair deal.

Guess we'll see once the craziness starts with ordering who gets what and at what deal. I agree with Pink, not very professional Karl.

April would be good. They might have a pull ahead program that could get you out even sooner...

So Scotty, If I place an order on October 15th, but pricing is later announced, and out of my price range, what options do I have?

I don't know about this whole "GM taking orders with no pricing announced deal"...

I'm gonna order, I just dont know how comfortable I'd be doing it without a price....

Just make sure your deposit is 100% refundable during ANY point of the process.

Scotty, my 'smartbuy' is up January 2, 2009... what do you think about the chances of using the 'pull ahead' in October 08, just turn in the truck, quit making the payments... pick out the options on the Camaro and wait till Feb??? Surely there will be some pricing info before we sign an order, there has to be for me...

I actually had someone ask me if they could get the early lease crdit now for a Equinox they turned in...can't happen.

Doesn't mean it CAN'T change in the future though...

I knew October was a stretch, how about the pricing though? At least a base price, before anyone orders. Is there a history of 'ordering' without any idea of the price?

I wanna know the answer to this question as well. How in the world can you commit to buying something, placing an order as it were, without knowing the price?

If GM actually does allow this it's very foolish. Say they take 10,000 orders for Camaros, start to build them, release pricing and 8,000 orders are canceled because the price is too high? A lot of people get screwed at that point.

I have a question regarding payment since this will be my first time ordering. I was reading you will have a deposit first and then full payment when it ships. I will be using my credit union to make the purchase and they simply send a check as to the exact amount that is due for the car and they handle the loan. My question is when is the full payment due since I will probably have to pay the deposit without the credit union and then get a loan for the rest. What price range will you be putting the deposit for this order next month? Thanks
